Description

Elegantly designed for modern kitchens, this Salter Nero Health Grill makes it simple to cook healthier dishes with little to no oil.

Grills with lots of features were only praised for them if they worked effectively and didn't needlessly overcomplicate the cooking process. So what makes this better than any other grill that I’ve used. This one needs very little or no oil for cooking things. Add a little oil, very little and spread over with a paper towel, if you want an extra crisp on your toastie or vegetable. I made some crisp peanut butter and banana quesadillas without needing any butter or oil spread on the outside of the wrap. Grills with slightly slanted cooking plates are desirable, as they encourage melted fat and oil to flow down to the drip trays. This reduces the amount of residual fat and oil on your food and makes cleaning an easier task. Compliment your kitchen with our range of speciality appliances - including a beer dispenser to kit out your home bar, a fondue set for fabulous dinner parties and a pizza oven for outdoor dining. Whether you’re a style conscious shopper looking to stay on top of the latest cookware trends or simply looking to invest in quality small kitchen appliances, Salter has something for every home. Creating healthier dishes for the family to enjoy, this Salter grill features a removable drip tray to collect excess fats and oil.

Short cables are common in electric grills, as is the case with many small kitchen appliances, so you’ll need to think through where you’re going to set up your grill in your kitchen before you buy one. While most air fryers will cook corn on the cob, it’s rarely browned along its length – usually just at either end. The Aerogrill did a much more even job thanks to its grill function, although even with regular turning the corn was a little overdone on the recommended Max setting. In practice, the Salter Aerogrill seems to live up to its promise as a versatile cooking device. I prepared a range of foods, from halloumi kebabs, burgers and sausages, through to frozen chips and hash browns. The results were generally very good, and in some cases exceptional.

This Salter health grill boasts an impressive 1190 – 1420 W of power and is complete with convenient power and ready indicator lights. I also made an omelette with no oil or butter required. The coated ceramic plates made cooking, and cleaning up easy – especially the cleaning! I love omelettes and scrambled eggs but I hate the mess which is left behind. Versatile by design, use the electric grill as a panini press or to cook lower fat meals for guests – great for tabletop dining. Detachable plates are a must if you want to avoid frustration when cleaning your electric grill. Burned-on fat needs a sponge and soapy water, but if you can't detach the cooking plates you won't be able to do much more than wipe it down with a damp cloth.Equipped with automatic temperature controls, this compact grill makes it simple to cook various toasted sandwiches, meats and more. Each grill was inspected and judged for its build quality, and those with uncomfortable edges, loose parts or fiddly buttons were penalised. We looked out for grill plates that were difficult to clean, little spots on the grill that are difficult to reach, and any damage or stained spots we noticed after we were finished cleaning. I was asked by The Works (yes the bookshop people, bear with me!) to try out the Salter Health Grill & Panini maker. I thought The Works only sold books but they also sell gadgets, toys, crafts and more. I’ve now got my eye on an upright turntable of all things! Some air fryers have bewildering buttons, seemingly with a different mode for anything you’d ever want to cook in them, but despite its versatility, the Salter Aerogrill keeps things relatively simple. To grill, turn it on, select an intensity from low to max, then dial up the cooking time and press the power button again. You’ll need to wait a minute or two for it to reach temperature, after which it’ll tell you to add your food. Load it up carefully and close the lid to start cooking.
