Leaf’s previous books, namely “Switch On Your Brain”, a lot of the information was related directly to biblical concepts and truths straight from Scripture - I loved how she tied all of the amazing workings of our mind directly to God as our Creator. it’s so fascinating that we can quite literally change our brains and our bodies with our thought patterns. So, rather than trying to figure out the why behind our traumas, a better approach is to focus on healing.

I would definitely recommend reading if you’re in a place where you’re able to make some new habits and mental changes. There's hope and help available to us--and the road to healthier thoughts and peak happiness may actually be shorter than you think. Read the first half of the book if you want to get into all the science of how neurons and neuro plasticity works.

This book is helping me on that journey because I like to dig away and excavate my pain and my thinking so I know I can.It feels like I’m right back in my biology class, trying to remember scientific facts to be able to understand further subjects within.
