About this deal

All were released in 2009 (labelled 1999, the start date of the series) with Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish subtitles. It also created a spike in tourism in Sicily, dubbed the “Montalbano Effect,” that locals worry may now be in jeopardy. We cover Milan news stories that may be of interest to English and Italian speaking residents, and tourists as well. Montalbano further determines that the murderer was the director of the archive, naked because of a homosexual encounter, which Agata accidentally witnessed.

He finds out that the charity for the elderly and disabled where Piccolomini was residing, was just a cover for the illegal transportation of drugs, which were cleverly hidden in the walking stick that the old man carried, and that the dog Orlando had been trained to attack the sniffer dogs who would have detected the drugs, but were deterred from approaching the old man and let him pass undisturbed onto the ferry. Montalbano discovers that Sanfilippo had recently rented and remodelled an outbuilding on land belonging to the missing couple. Quite young at the inception of the series, it’s hard to believe that the actor is now 50 years old—although most of the cast shows few signs of aging. But make no mistake, the inspector – cool, irascible and driving a clapped out Fiat – possesses the uniquely compelling charisma of an antihero. Titled Il metodo Catalanotti, it was however only the eighth most-watched episode in the two-decade series which attracted a record 11. Montalbano is confronted by two passionate women; Michela Pardo who was morbidly attached to her brother and full of anger toward Elena Scalani, ex-lover of Pardo who had grown tired of the relationship. A passionate relationship quickly develops between the aging detective and his much younger colleague that stands to threaten the ten-year relationship he’s had with his girlfriend, Livia Burlando (most recently portrayed by Sonia Bergamasco). Ok it’s not the best episode if this great series but it’s fine - and it’s based on the last novel by the creator who presumably knew what he was doing!

Almost simultaneously, Carmelo Catalanotti, a loan shark and theatre director, is found dead in his own flat. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The murder is a puzzle, given that she should not have been in the building while it was being renovated, and the killer should have been easy to find, because of all the blood. Notorious for creating a unique acting method, Catalanotti's approach was both ingenious and traumatic, compelling actors to fully inhabit their roles by confronting their deepest, darkest secrets.Montalbano begins investigations with the help of the victim's twin sister, Adriana (who tries to seduce him), to find out who killed her sister. Inspector Salvo Montalbano is in charge of the state police station in Vigàta, a fictional town in the fictional province of Montelusa (see locations) in Sicily, Southern Italy. Given the success of the Andrea Camilleri novels, published by Sellerio ( Palermo), RAI with Palomar [ it], commissioned a television series, in co-operation with Sweden's public service SVT, Sveriges Television, of most of the novels and short stories.
