I loved it. Couldn't put it down. I bought it on a Friday and was done by Saturday night. I loved the fact that it was honest in a way most memoirs don't ever even attempt to be. When Steve-O recounts some of his exploits or talks about some of the things that have happened to him along the way, he doesn't use suffering as justification for his substance abuse problems - he often justifies the angry and sometimes cruel reactions of others to him by admitting that he became intolerable. I won't go into too much detail but let's say that we all knew a kid like Steve-O in school- and reading this book makes me feel bad that I wasn't nicer to that kid. a b "Steve-O: Demise and Rise". [81] [82] Family [ edit ] My take on death was – and I say in (the book) and I’ve never said this anywhere else – that at the point when Ryan Dunn died, we had just had a No. 1 movie come out. It was barely six months (after) the (release of a) No. 1 box office hit movie. And I say he was young, he looked great, he’d never been in any financial distress, he was on top of the world,” Steve-O explains. “He’d never gotten to a point where he was in any undignified place. Steve-O in with the law again". The Sunshine Coast Daily. March 5, 2008 . Retrieved September 17, 2010. I find myself relating to Steve-o at times. He talks a lot about his constant need for not wanting to be forgotten and how it drove him to extremes. Although I am not recording myself constantly, I too have that fear, and I can relate to him a lot on that aspect. It gives us more insight as fans, or just casual viewers, to understand what his mindset was during the 2000s-early 2010s, I find it really interesting. This is a book that is funny, depressing, and honest at its core, and I think that provides for a great memoir. Steve-O Answers the Web's Most Searched Questions - WIRED". WIRED. September 26, 2022. Since 2017, Steve-O has been in perhaps his first functional relationship, with Lux Wright, a 35-year-old production designer. They plan to marry and open an animal sanctuary (kids are off the agenda ever since Steve-O filmed himself having a vasectomy and then inviting local teenagers to beat his balls like a piñata immediately afterwards). I wonder what Wright makes of his Gone Too Far plans?

What Came Before". Whatcambefore.com. Archived from the original on April 25, 2014 . Retrieved May 14, 2014. I enjoyed reading about Steve-O life. Most of the events I had heard about from watching his podcast, but there were a lot of things I was not aware. Such as his relationship with his family and the continuous hookups and girlfriends over the years. Not that it was all important. What was mentioned most besides random hookups, were all the drugs he did. Sometimes different ones at the same time. I think he really means it, too. Which, coming from someone who once tightrope-walked over an alligator pit with raw meat stuffed into his underwear, means a lot.
