The patented filtration system and the intelligent light are two of the most exciting things about this range of BiOrb tank. The filtration system which works through the distinctive central air tube is unique in that it circulates 100% of the water in the tank. It also performs biological, chemical and mechanical filtration. The intelligent light simulates a natural light cycle for your fish over twenty four hours. This filter is also proven to help keep the pH level of the water constant. Now, what is really neat about the biOrb 105 Aquarium filtration system is that it also oxygenates the water as it leaves the filter, thus helping your fish breathe easy. Therefore, this filter engages in mechanical, biological, and chemical filtration, with a side of water stabilization and oxygenation too. You may be limited by size on what fish you own but you can ignore people who will tell you it is cruel to own anything but plants in a 30 litre tank, it's an absurd claim and one which has no credibility. If you are planning on buying large fish or want vast schools of fish then don't buy this tank, buy a 100+ litre tank. This tank however is ideal for Tetras, Platys, Bettas, WCMM, Danios, Shrimp and many other small size fish.

Goldfish create a lot of waste and the filtration system is not adequate to deal with amount of waste. Holding 60 litres of water they weigh in at 13kg empty, 65kg full and can hold approximately 20 tropical or 10 cold water fish. This is based on each adult fish being 3cm long. BiOrb also advertise this as a good beginners marine tank, but based on the 3 inch of marine fish per square foot of tank, it would seem a little on the small side. The biOrb 105 in silver is a stylish addition to the biOrb range. The largest size in the collection, the 105 can hold 105 litres of water, making it ideal for a large collection of fish and/or plants. Any excess waste is collected by the biOrb filterthat has several advantages over traditional filters. As it's fitted at the bottom of the aquarium where most filtration is needed, the filter collects much more waste than a traditional one. And unlike traditional filters, they can be completely removed or cleaned without affecting the good bacteria that remains in the aquarium in the ceramic media. They only take seconds to change once every 4 -6 weeks. Oxygenation is much better than in a regular rectangular tank due to vigorous aeration keeping gases in equilibrium with the air above and well distributed with redundant gases expelled. I have been keeping fish for many years now yet I have never herd a good word said about these tanks from people who I consider to have much more knowledge than myself. MCR light unit 16 different colour looks can be controlled remotely and 4 time cycles can be selected to simulate light conditions Guppies, Gourami and danios will swim at the top, tetras and rasboras in the middle, and Rams, Corydoras and Cherry barbs will stay close to the bottom. A large tank needs a great filter, to keep it looking that way! BiOrb have included an exclusive filter in the 105. It has a ceramic media included with a huge surface area, to fully process the water and remove all unwanted debris and waste. Every four weeks, simply change the media, no cleaning required. It was 1999 when the biOrb 30 litre aquarium was originally launched and since then biOrb Classic range has grown considerably.
