About this deal

This is a fairly high score! Read on to find out exactly why this overgrip received these high marks. Comfort Comments: These actually feel pretty good but not as good as the Wilson Pro Overgrips. Hopefully, Wilson will consider making one in red. The towel grip may develop an odor over time, as its excellent absorbency of sweat can lead to the cultivation of germs – so players may want to consider replacing their towel grip prior to it losing its usefulness. An alternative to extend the life of a towel grip is the application and usage of grip powders. Grip powders are applied directly to the hand and serve to reduce the amount of hand sweat produced, which can help prevent towel grips from reaching saturation and losing its effectiveness. Grip Recommendation by Play Style

Comments: I switched from Babolat VS overgrip to this one. It gives me a better feel of the grip and has a better absorption, which is important in my case as my hands sweat really badly. I haven't tried Tourna Grips yet, but this one works for me very well so far. Although these over-grips have their strengths, we recommend the Tourna Grip for its absorbency and performance. If you are a professional tennis player, no overgrip on the market will keep your hands dry. To make matters worse, when I removed it, it left a ton of residue on the Wilson leather grip that I had to clean off. Comments: This grip is great if you have sweaty hands. My hands sweat justsitting around in the middle of winter. Even though the grip may stilllook new, I still have to change it every few days or it will eventuallystart slipping. But save for Tournagrip, I haven't found anything thatcan handle sweat like this grip does. But I can sweat through Tournaleaving stains my leather undergrip (gross I know).I don't have thesame problem with Supergrap. If your hands are sweaty, try Supergrap incombo with Prince Grip Plus, you won't be sorry.

Absorbency refers to the grip’s capacity to absorb or soak up liquid, which in the case of badminton players, refers to the sweat from their hands or what may drip down from their arms. Grips with higher absorbency will be able to take in and retain more liquid without becoming a hindrance for the player, while simultaneously helps prevent blisters from forming. Grips with lower absorbency will reach a point of saturation faster which will not allow for further absorption and become quite slippery for the player. Hardness Grips are capable of enhancing a player’s play style, be it power or control. When selecting the ideal grip, players should be aware of which grips would complement their game and which ones should be avoided. Offense / Power Play The Yonex Super Grap was quite comfortable to the touch. It has a pleasant spongey texture when you apply pressure on it with your fingers, but it is not as soft or as squishy as the Yonex Hi Soft Grap. Was this a bad batch? Who knows, but I can’t see how this is a viable product if other customers get the same experience as they are useless within 5 minutes. Even Gasquet needs more playing time than that!

A towel grip is a grip made of cloth or cotton that resembles the fuzziness of a towel, hence its name. Towel grips are the ultimate grips when it comes to offering superior sweat absorbency. Towel grips are the perfect companion for players who tend to produce a lot of sweat – either naturally from their hands or dripping down from their arm. Not at all, many players choose not to use one, and it boils down purely to feel and preference. I like how an overgrip feels over a leather grip, so that’s my preferred setup. The overall dimensions of the Yonex Super Grap are pretty standard to the majority of the over Yonex overgrips though in both length and width.

Overgrips are generally thinner and less expensive than replacement grips. This makes a prime opportunity to test out various overgrips until you find the one most suitable to your playing preference. Overgrips explore various textures such as perforations, contour lines and degrees of squishiness offered by different rubber materials used to make the grip. Overgrips act as a layer of protection between the player’s hand and the original/replacement grip, so you won’t need to replace this more expensive grip as frequently.

In Yonex’s 2021 catalog, it is claimed that this particular grip has been sold enough times to wrap the around the world 5 times! I don’t know about you, but that fact alone is mind-blowing to me! I define durability as the ability to withstand wear, pressure, and damage. From a durability standpoint, I am looking for the grip product to remain intact and retain the same feel and quality as if it were newly applied. Comments: It's the best grip, and I've tried many. Very comfortable and last very long. Highly recommended. The Wilson Pro Overgrip is a more comfortable and durable choice for novices. It’s not as absorbent as the other over-grips, but it’s a more comfortable overgrip for players who don’t sweat as much. The Luxilon Elite Dry is billed as ideal for humid or for players who want an enhanced grip, and their marketing gives you the impression this is a premium product.

Comments: I would say it's not as absorbent as the Wilson Pro or Tourna grip, but it's still a very good grip. I will try more in the future.

Comments: Super Grap feels okay, but durability is terrible. My current preference is Prince DuraPro. Comments: This is the best grip I've used. I play 16 hours a week and this grip hasn't let me down yet. These grips are great for long matches and tournaments. I played with Tourna grip but my hands would always slip with Super Grap this never happens, definitely a must buy. After playing for what felt like a continuous 1.5 hour badminton session – seriously, there were maybe a 1-minute break here and there to towel off or take a sip of water – the Yonex Super Grap held its own. The grip was far from feeling like it was at its limit of absorbing sweat. On the contrary, the grip felt like it was just as fresh as when it was newly applied at the beginning of the session. Feel UPDATE] The Yonex Super Grap was my go-to grip after experimenting with different grip products throughout my badminton career, I’ve surprised myself in admitting I have a new favorite! The new supreme grip is the Yonex Clean Grap. Look out for my product review of the Yonex Clean Grap to find out why!
