Description

Magswitch MagJigs are a fixturing clamp that will easily secure your fixture into place. Rotate the knob to turn it on and off for magnetic hold force. With the Magjig, simply drill a hole in a fixture and place the MagJig in to use for downward pressure clamping. Every Magswitch product is proudly designed, developed, manufactured and tested by Magswitch to ISO 9001:2015 standards. Frequently Asked Questions What is Magswitch Shallow field? Magnets can be positioned at different points on the fence for optimal placement on drill press tables. In what direction is a force pulling on the magnet? This also matters a great deal. You’re not going to be able to apply 150 lb of shear or sideways force against an MJ-150 and expect it not to move. This is true of all magnets.

It’s a great demonstration of how it works. Initially, when building it, we thought we might show all the details so our readers could learn how to do it themselves (and maybe buy some K&J magnets to do it). However, we learned that assembly is a real challenge. We also found that we spent more money on magnets and parts from the hardware store than if we had just bought a Magswitch ®. Change the hall-effect switch to increase the trip threshold. The S-5716ACDH2 component is specified with a typical threshold of 45 Gauss vs. 35 Gauss for the AH180 part. The minimum specified threshold is 25 Gauss. With load current 35A, the voltage across the switch was 40mV (that's 1.1mΩ). Power dissipation is only 1.3W, which should not be a problem for a board even this small. I repeated the measurement with 20A load current and got 22mV across the switch, and the same switch resistance. No changes required. So here's the plan: Don’t heat up Magswitch ® magnets. Like all neodymium magnets, high temperatures can partially demagnetize them. Avoid anything above 176°F (80°C).Magswitch Technology, a worldwide leading manufacturer of switchable magnets, the introduction of the original MagPry was revolutionary new way to align steel plates or press stiffener beams in shipyards. Changing the Way Things Were Done R10 needs to be a power resistor. When you insert 100mΩ of resistance into the input... Read more » My first thoughts were to add a snubber -- a series R and C across the inputs. This could be just a tantalum capacitor with an appropriate ESR value . The problem I found was that the capacitor had to be greater than 100µF and the series resistance (or ESR) around 100mΩ. I could not find a reasonable size ceramic 100µF capacitor with a 25-50V rating, or a tantalum with <500mΩ ESR. The solution for the snubber to work was to put 15x 10µF ceramic caps in parallel -- so I abandoned this idea in favor of adding resistance in series with the input. At this point I was pretty bummed out. It was obvious that the BEC was not capable of handling 5A as a continuous load. This result was not unexpected. I was boning up on thermal resistance and power dissipation of PCBs while traveling and had determined that a PCB this size could only handle about 0.5W of power dissipation to keep the junction temperature of the switcher IC less than 150°C. Magswitch products have flexible options to handle your lifting needs & adapt to odd or round shapes. Downtime

Our dual roller guide has a dual set of roller bearings to firmly support the smooth gliding of wood through a blade. Requires our Woodworking Starter Kit and mounts to the Universal Mounting Base and MagJigs, sold separately. Resaw Guide It is apparent that a 30V rating is not enough to prevent inductive transients damaging the LDO. The second pass, and all the other mag switch circuits, will have a protection resistor to prevent this in the future. After replacing the LDO and the hall-effect device, which was also damaged by the event, I jury-rigged a 330Ω protection resistor in between the LDO and the battery. I plugged/unplugged the battery many times to see if there was any remaining tendency to smoke, but the circuit doesn't have that problem anymore. High Current measurements:

Our products are designed to be ‘fail safe’ since there is no need for any power during a lift. With a positive indication of the magnetic circuit, the operator can confidently perform knowing the material is fully attached. Magswitch offers Electric, Pneumatic, or Manual for ‘on-off’ actuation. Performance Versatile Compatibility: Designed to fit both 3/4" and 5/8" miter slots, accommodating a range of compact saws with aluminum tops. Power to the load can be switched on or off by momentarily placing a magnet near the circuit. This allows the circuit to be completely enclosed within the aircraft fuselage. The current drawn from the batteries while in the off-state mode should be as low as possible. It should take more than one year to discharge the battery. The voltage drop across the switches should be as low as possible to keep power dissipation, heat, and losses to a minimum. The Magswitch magnetic fixturing clamp will secure your fixture into place. Rotate the knob to turn on and off 95 pounds of magnetic hold force. Simply drill a hole in a fixture and place the MagJig in to use for downward pressure clamping. FEATURES & BENEFITS Not much is different. The change is to the FETs and how they are driven. Previous magnetic switches were driven with 5V gate voltage. This circuit level shifts the gate voltage of the output switching FETs to 12V to extract every bit of RDSon that the FET is capable of providing.
